Map of Russia updated on Kosmosnimki.Ru service
Interface of the Kosmosnimki.Ru geoportal, POI objects. Central districts of Kazan city (upper), Moscow (central), Kaliningrad (lower)
In early February the popular resource Kosmosnimki.Ru updated the map of Russia. Source data — integrated RuMap data set — provided by “Geocenter – Consulting” company.
The updated map of Russia, published on Kosmosnimki.Ru the geoportal, contains the following by now:
- detailed maps (at 1:10 000 scale) of over 40 country cities;
- coverage maps (at 1:200 000 scale) of the territory of 26 Russian constituencies: Voronezh, Vladimir, Volgograd, Kaliningrad, Moscow, Murmansk, Sverdlovsk and other Regions, Republic of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan and Krasnodar Territory;
- around 130 thousand POIs (points of interest) in form of updatable reference book of organizations and institutions: medical organizations, libraries, universities, restaurants, hotels, courts, shops, hairdressing saloons.
In addition to data filling of the Russian map, its design underwent essential changes. The Kosmosnimki.Ru resource developers plan in the nearest future to introduce the new feature of automatic search by POI objects.
Please be reminded that the users can overlay the ready raster web-maps onto the area of interest on the sites and corporate systems using GeoMixer API interface, as follows:
