The image of the Khanty-Mansiysk District of KhMAO was received on October 1, 2016 from SPOT 6 satellite.

The Ob’ River and its tributary Nazym can be seen on the image. The Kyshik settlement — place of compact residence of Khanty — is situated on the Nazim river.

Khanty-Mansiysk district is located in the landscape area of the middle taiga. The area of the district is 46,4 thousand sq. km, almost half of it is occupied by forests. There are 3014 lakes with a total area of 22465 ha. Total length of the rivers is 16165 km.
