Exercises, developed for self-training and study of ScanMagic® v. 1.9 and ScanEx Image Processor ® v. 2.0 basic functions are available now at the web-site of SCANEX R&D Center. Experience of the company in training courses for space images processing is in the basis of these exercises. Now anybody can download the exercises (for ScanMagic, for Image Processor) as well as their tutorials and to assess their functional tools by himself. Work with exercises implies preliminary familiarization with the relevant User’s Guides (also available at the same hyperlinks), describing the purpose and functions of all the software tools.
About the software applications
Each application has unique features for remote sensing data processing and analysis and provides for a complete cycle of preparing the output space imagery products.
ScanMagic® v.1.9 utilizes efficient innovative techniques of image on-the-fly processing and spooling, enabling to repeatedly change the data processing parameters and make an immediate visual assessment of the results, doing the complete data processing only at the final stage.
ScanEx Image Processor® v.2.0 – is the state-of-the-art technology, developed for preliminary and thematic processing of satellite images, for the creation of value-added products based on the Earth data from space (maps, physical indices, models), and for exporting data into GIS and other image processing systems. The application consists of the basic configuration, including extended image processing and analysis functions, and add-on modules for the resolution of specific tasks, such as DEM generation, 3D modeling, classification and thematic interpretation of radar data and multispectral images.
One of the results of using these applications is the tonally-balanced ortho-rectified mosaics coverage in the first Russian geoportals: Yandex and Kosmosnimki.
