ScanEx R&D Center launched an article writing competition “Practical applications of ScanEx R&D Center software technologies” on September 3, 2009. Both the previously published and original popular science articles on the application of ScanEx R&D Center software products (ScanMagic®, ScanEx Image Processor®, etc.) for custom subject task solutions are accepted for the contest.

The contest articles can be submitted till 15 October at software@scanex.ru with the subject noted “Article contest”.

The submitted articles should meet the following pre-requisites: a text with maximum 40 thousand characters with spaces in *.doc or *.rtf formats, figures in JPG or TIFF formats, 300 dpi. The text of the article should contain the references to the figures and the captions. The number of articles submitted to the contest by the same author is not limited.

The results of the contest will be summarized on 20 October. The best articles will be published (at the author’s discretion, subject to copyright regulations) on ScanEx R&D Center site and/or specialized Russian publications, in particular, “Earth from space – the most effective solutions” magazine. The winners will be given a free update of ScanEx Image Processor® and ScanMagic® software applications.

The prizewinners will get a free registration and a right to make a presentation at 4th International Conference “Earth from space — most efficient solutions”, which will take place 1-3 December 2009 at Moscow area Vatutinki complex of Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation.
