The image of Vytegorsky district of Vologda region was received on May 24, 2017 from SPOT 6 satellite. Onega Lake and the town of Vytegra on the river of the same name can be seen on the image.

Vytegra is located 337 km northwest of Vologda. Once Vytegra was called the "port of five seas", because the main waterway of the Northwest of Russia — the Volga-Baltic Way, which united the waters of the Baltic, White, Caspian, Azov and Black Seas — laid here.

Currently, the city's population is about 10,000 people. Vytegra and its surroundings attract tourists with ancient northern architecture, clean waters of Onega Lake and the opportunity to go on catamarans along the rapids of the Vologda region.
